This goes along with the "August Website Renovation" project. I just want to get the answers to a few basic survey questions. Feel free to just reply with a numbered list of Yes\No responses to these questions.

1. Do you care if forum threads more than 30 days old just disappear? (They will not be deleted, just disappear from the index, still accessible through forum.php?t=TOPIC.)
2. Are you satisfied with the way the forum reply\new post page is formatted?
3. Are you satisfied with the amount of emoticons we offer?
4. Would you like the option to receive email notifications when an announcement is posted on the front page?
5. Are you satisfied with the way the forum "timestamps" are formatted? (They lack a date of post, just show the time... is this acceptable to you?)

I tried to make this survey short, and the answers a quick Yes\No... so please take the time to reply and answer these questions for me.

[08-04 14:36:13] -UFG-Kirk: I'm seeing a definite trend here. The diehard members who come every day already don't want to see email notifications. The members who SHOULD come daily but don't seem to be the ones who want the emails.

This was pointed out to me by York... and having email notifications might actually hurt our traffic instead of helping it.

For now, I'm going to encourage daily visits or at least every few days. The homepage now has the star icon on 24 hour old news posts. In my personal opinion, given the community response, that's the right way to go for now.
