So...you want to become a member of the United Federation of Gaming?  I wish I could say it was hard... it's actually very simple!  Want it broken down into steps?  Fine...

1.  Register on the clan forums.  Now is as good a time as any to tell you that your clan name in games will be -UFG-You.  For the forum registration process, please sign up as "You".  We want your name to coincide, but don't put -UFG- in front of your forum username, that would get verbose very fast.
2.  Post an Introduction, which should include anything social you want to share with your new friends, as well as what games you play... and you must tell us in your post that you want to become a clan member.  We do have some people who sign up just for the forums (at least, we have in the past) so you have to tell us or we will not assume you want to join the clan.
3.  -UFG-Kirk will add you to the "Clan Members" usergroup.  This will change your name's color to
a nice shade of orange.
4.  Well, there really is no step four... you're a clan member now!

So, why don't we have any real requirements?  Because a clan isn't about being a skilled player.  It's about the community.  It's about having a lot of familiar people to game with.  I'm sure we all can understand that.  Isn't it more fun to play a FPS with your friends on a LAN than to play with strangers over the Internet?  Our goal is to bridge that gap, by creating a community of people you know somewhat...so it's almost like a huge LAN party!  It's been our philosophy since we were founded in 2005 (at which point we were called the AT Clan) and it's never let us down.
